We are continually evaluating existing technologies to make smart choices for our learning environment, and we also immerse ourselves in emerging technology research. Our staff explores and develops new learning technology tools and delivery mechanisms to lead educational innovation.
Using cutting-edge technology, Online and Distance Education offers flexible delivery of rigorous academics and individual support wherever you are.
As a service to online and distance students, our Testing Services office provides on-campus proctoring services and facilitates remote proctoring for students to take exams in a professional, secure and monitored setting. DELTA Testing Services was awarded National College Testing Association Certification in 2016. In compliance with the SACS Distance and Correspondence Education Policy Statement ensuring student authentication, students must present photo identification and secure login and password to access examination materials.
We have two on-campus testing centers. The Centennial Campus Testing Center is located at Venture IV, Suite 236. The Main Campus Testing Center is located at Cox Hall, Room 205.
Testing Services also coordinates remote testing services for students who live more than 50 miles away from NC State campus.
Note: There may be additional fees associated with student identity verification for students who take exams remotely.
