NC State Ranks Number 2 Among Military-Friendly Online Colleges

Bestcolleges.com named NC State University No. 2 in the list of America’s Best Military-Friendly Online Colleges of 2019. To be considered a military-friendly college, an institution must participate in government programs such as the Post-9/11 GI Bill, Yellow Ribbon Program and MyCAA. The institution may also provide special benefits such as military tuition assistance, credits for military training, special financial assistance, easy transfer credit options and flexible class formats – all of which NC State Online offers.

With more than 110 online and distance education programs and Military and Veteran Services, a centralized resource that regularly hosts hiring events and other networking opportunities for military students, it is no wonder why NC State Online ranks among America’s Best Military-Friendly Online Colleges.

Popular among online students with military backgrounds is the Leadership in the Public Sector undergraduate degree-completion program. The asynchronous — or self-paced — curriculum is conducive for active-duty personnel and reservists who must balance their schoolwork with service-related commitments and other personal obligations.

Popular graduate programs among military-affiliated students include online programs offered by the Center for Geospatial Analytics, the online Jenkins MBA program and various Engineering Online programs.
