NC State College of Education’s Online Master’s Programs Ranked #1 for Veterans in N.C.
The NC State College of Education’s online master’s programs are ranked #1 in North Carolina for veterans in the 2021 U.S. News & World Report Best Online Graduate Education Programs Rankings. Across the nation, the college ranked #12 for veterans.
The rankings are based on accessibility to internet-based coursework, affordability, number of students with military backgrounds, and factors related to academic quality such as program reputation, faculty credentials and retention rates.
“Our comprehensive support for students, integrated approach to problem solving, cutting-edge technology applied to teaching and learning, and flexibility in our programs aligns perfectly with the needs of our veterans and active military personnel. As a member of a military family, I am especially proud that we are able to effectively serve those who serve our nation,” said NC State College of Education Dean Mary Ann Danowitz.
In online education specialty areas, the college was ranked #1 in North Carolina and #13 in the nation for its educational/instructional media design program.
Across all online master’s programs, the college’s overall ranking was tied at #42 out of 296 ranked colleges of education that offer online master’s degrees in education. U.S. News ranked schools based on five categories: engagement, expert opinion, faculty credentials and training, services and technology, and student excellence.
