As the number of people speaking a language other than English at home continues to increase, the need for ESL instructors also continues to rise. ESL instructors work in a variety of classroom settings to help students of a variety of ages learn English. While most ESL teachers work in elementary and secondary schools, some work with adult populations at community colleges, community outreach centers and social service centers.

The English as a Second Language (ESL) K-12 Education Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) is designed specifically for licensed teachers and aspiring teachers pursuing ESL licensure.
