Careers

Research. Consult. Be a part of scientific and agricultural advancements.

Our Online Master’s of Biological and Agricultural Engineering is primarily focused on the design and restoration of sustainable ecosystems to protect our environment and natural resources. Graduates can expect to find biological and agricultural engineering careers across many different industries working on solutions to problems in a variety of areas.

Career Advancement

Many of our graduates use this advanced degree program as a springboard to advance their existing careers. This is especially true for graduates of environmental science programs who enjoy the outdoor work, protecting the environment and working on projects like stream restoration, green infrastructure, wetland design, wetland restoration or urban stormwater infrastructure.

After 3 to 5 years, these employees find they cannot be promoted because the next step requires an engineering degree. A Master’s of Biological and Agricultural Engineering degree allows them to do the design work rather than just the installation. The engineer can sign (“seal”) legal documents once they become a licensed Professional Engineer.

Designed for the working professional, the flexible 30-hour master’s degree program has no advisory committee, no final exam and no seminar requirement.

In some cases, employees only need a graduate certificate to qualify for advancement. Discover how the Graduate Certificate in the Design and Analysis of Environmental Systems: Watershed Assessment and Restoration can enhance a career in watershed assessment and restoration and associated positions.
